New Site Launch: Innova Emergency Medical
Earlier this month (October 2012), we launched an all new, designed-and-built-from-the-ground-up website for Innova Emergency Medical Associates.
Operations (The order of them.)
Prior to beginning work on the Innova website, we engaged in an in-depth core messaging strategy. It was absolutely critical we determined how Innova position themselves on the web as nearly all of their major competitors' sites felt identical. In fact, nearly every single one is overflowing with copy that talks endlessly about excellence and is coupled with generic stock photos of smiling patients and seemingly-friendly (yet sometimes overly serious) doctors.
We completed a positioning strategy phase for Innova that consisted of a competitive analysis, brand discovery, customer persona development, and a brand summary document.
We then moved forward into a strategic website planning phase in which we determined the best site architecture for Innova, created a phased content plan based on their internal resources and timing requirements, and developed layout wireframes for the new site's homepage and internal pages.
Following the strategic website planning, our copywriter Ann dove into creating compelling copy for all pages in the site.
The new site was then developed in HTML 5 and integrated into the ExpressionEngine content management system.

Once the upfront strategy and planning work was complete, we set to work on the site's design. Here is the site's completed homepage:

The illustration work was completed by the legendary Mick Wiggins, who has crafted illustrations for the Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Penguin Classics, and PC World magazine.
