New Responsive WordPress Website Launched for a California Technical Writing Client
Earlier this month we launched a shiny, new, fully-responsive* WordPress website for Clarifying Complex Ideas (CCI), the company of a highly respected technical writer and speaker Alisa Bonsignore.
Decisive = website projects stay on schedule
Just like CCI itself, the process of designing and building this website was streamlined, efficient, and smooth. Alisa holds one of the most important characteristics we look for when determining which new clients to work with: she's decisive.
Throughout the project she made prompt, clear decisions which allowed the project to move forward continuously and not get slowed down with decision-making delays (which are exceedingly common in the world of web design and development projects).
The previous website
CCI's needs when they came to us were simple. They (very) outdated website design no longer positioned the company as a trusted adviser with true expertise. Alisa works with large, international clients and travels the world speaking at conferences about her craft.
Her company's previous site's design, however, did not do a proper job of reflecting these things, nor did it instill confidence:
The site also did not display correctly on mobile devices.
Success all around
The new CCI website design is minimal, modern, and sleek. (And we promise we didn't determine the color palette based on a pre-Halloween launch.)
The client is happy. The site can be viewed and used easily across desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones. Proper WordPress integration means CCI can update and manage the new site internally with more ease. Success all around.

* The quick and dirty definition of a responsive website is one that: restructures and reorganizes itself based on the type of device someone is using to view your website (desktop, tablet, mobile phone, etc.). Quite simply, a responsive site adjusts for different-sized screens.
